Wow, the resemblance to a Land Rover series vehicle or Range Rover is too damn high. Or maybe just high enough. Looks pretty cool. I don't like the Trooper's infamous propensity for rollover at high speed, but otherwise yea! Surprised it still has the wind deflector above the rear door: those usually meet an untimely end on the Interstate.

oh yeah I remember the feeling of being in one of those and how tall the thing was. Every corner felt like a chance if you were over 30 mph.

Nope. The rule we came up with for that was that the door had to be closer to the rear wheels than the front, or at least close to equidistant. Otherwise this:
and this:
...qualify as two completely separate kinds of vehicle, despite the only difference being the doors.

Lowet it to a non butt clenching height for cornering, 2wd, but leave the rest of the powertrain alone. Bam.

We have an oppo-derived rule on shooting brakes: door has to be about the same distance from the rear wheels as the front ones or less. That ensures you get coupe-based shooting brakes and not just pretenders on longer platforms that have two doors for no reason.

But with that 95 HP turbodiesel in a 3600-lb vehicle with all the aerodynamic qualities of a cinderblock, you'd have a lot of time to contemplate your rollover potential while getting up to speed.

Yeah, I almost edited "high speed" to almost every turn. What really scared me about those (and sadly I was in one as a joker was driving it super-aggressively) was super-quick lane changes seemed to be about as much a trigger as cornering.

Nice price, maybe could go a tad lower.

I don't know your/Oppo's rule. But I guess 505 was as serious about it being a brown manual wagon as I was with it being a shooting brake ;-)

I dunno. There's a pretty weak boundary between wagon and SUV. I'd be willing to call this both. Mostly I'm inclined to claim that because these:
...were sold explicitly as station wagons. In fact, mine is titled/licensed as such. So were the Willys wagons:
The re-assigning of everything to a new "SUV" category in the modern age can suck my lugnuts.
